A Chatham-Kent Tourism vehicle won't be hitting the roads just yet.
The municipality has decided to defer a motion led by Councillor Karen Herman for the purchase of a tourism vehicle, during Monday night's council meeting.
The motion will be next discussed during 2018 budget talks.
The proposed vehicle would include a marketing wrap with the CK brand, logo, and contact information with a maximum purchase price of $37,000.
Councillors in favour of the motion discussed the potential benefits of saving money on mileage expenses for CK Tourism staff.
The funding for the purchase of the vehicle and wrap would come from the 2017 Chatham-Kent Strategic Reserve Budget.
