Bolts of lightning. (Blackburn News file photo)A severe thunderstorm watch has ended for the Chatham-Kent and Windsor-Essex areas.
Environment Canada issued the watch Thursday morning, with forecasters predicting favourable conditions for the development of thunderstorms.
The weather agency said torrential downpours were a possibility, with up to 50 mm of rain per hour in some areas. Strong winds and hail were also possible.
The watch was lifted at around 6pm.
Hospitals in southwestern Ontario are feeling the effects of underfunding, according to a new report by the CCPA.
Fortunately, no children were on board the bus, but the drivers of both vehicles were taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
