Buy Local Buy Fresh Chatham-Kent is hosting a Farm and Vendor Market on Saturday to support local producers.
The market is being held from 9am to 1pm in the parking lot across the road from the Downtown Chatham Centre.
"It's going to be showcasing everything that is grown and produced in Chatham-Kent. We have everything from fresh fruit and vegetables, flowers, preserves, vintage coins, bird houses, and much more," says Buy Local Chair Mary Anne Udvari.
Udvari says local farmers, vendors, and business owners are welcome to sell their goods at the market.
"If you would like to have a booth, it's absolutely free. We only ask that if you're a vendor you supply your own tables and chairs," she says.
Udvari says the market is an opportunity for the community to come together.
"We're trying to get everyone together to encourage networking so you have an opportunity to meet your neighbours and other people in your field that have the same interests you do," says Udvari.
The market is sponsored by the Ontario Federation of Agriculture, Kent Federation of Agriculture, Farm Credit Canada, and Downtown Chatham Centre.
