Indecent Act At Women's Softball Practice

A 34-year-old man is facing charges after police say he was allegedly spotted committing an indecent act at Sterling Park in Chatham.

Police say they got a call from a witness at around 6:30pm Tuesday, after a man was allegedly seen touching himself inappropriately while sitting on the bleachers at a women's softball practice.

The man left the area before officers arrived, but police caught up with him on Park St.

Investigators say the man allegedly gave police a fake name at first, but officers were able to determine his real name.

A Chatham man is now and charged with indecent acts and obstructing police. His name has not been released to the public.
