A plant is Blenheim is looking for a new owner.
Stuart McFadden, acting director of economic development in Chatham-Kent, says Cross Country Manufacturing wants to sell the facility by October 1.
McFadden says he was informed last week that it was in their best interest to sell despite it being a difficult decision. He says the plant is getting lots of attention and a new owner should be found soon.
"There's been significant interest actually. There's been a few companies that have toured the buildings already to understand exactly what they're buying. We also had some local companies express interest in learning more as well and I've introduced them to the people that are handling the process," says McFadden.

McFadden says the goal is to keep jobs local.
"The company has informed me that there should be no blip as far as production is concerned. It's business as usual as they go through this process and people continue to make the trailers and hoping to find a new owner to continue to make great trailers in Blenheim," McFadden says.
Mayor Randy Hope says discussions have been very fruitful so far and he believes the workers should be fine.
"I don't believe it looks bleak. I believe there's more positives than negatives in this one," says the mayor.
