Windsor Man Among Three Charged for Stolen Property

Three people, including a Windsor man, have been charged following a traffic complaint in Chatham-Kent.

Ontario Provincial Police say they received a complaint from a driver around 3:30pm Friday. The caller said an eastbound motorcycle rider used an emergency vehicle U-turn to change directions on the highway. OPP stopped and pulled over the motorcycle. In the investigation that followed, police were able to recover three stolen vehicles and other stolen property.

The motorcycle rider, identified as Luc Bouchard, 32, of Windsor, has been charged with four counts of possession of stolen property under $5000, dangerous operation of a motor vehicle and flight when pursued by a peace officer.

Following the investigation, police also charged 22-year-old Jeffery Macinnis of Thorold and 38-year-old Paul Hinds of Brampton with four counts apiece of possession of stolen property under $5000.

All three were being held pending a bail hearing.
