Former Chatham-Kent Fire Chief Bob Crawford has been appointed as Chatham-Kent fire paramedic chief.
Crawford replaces former chief Ken Stuebing, who is the new fire chief in Halifax, until a permanent chief is found. Stuebing’s last day was Friday. Crawford, who is currently general manager of community development, held the position of fire chief for more than a decade prior to Stuebing’s arrival.
Chatham-Kent Chief Administrative Officer Don Shropshire says the search continues for a new fire chief, but there is no firm deadline for a replacement.
“We wish former Chief Stuebing well and were gratified to have someone of Bob Crawford’s ability to fill the chief’s position in the interim,” he says.
