Nominations Open For Women of Excellence

The May Court Club of Chatham is once again looking to honour local women.

The group is currently looking for nominations for its Women of Excellence Awards.

"We had this fundraising project two years ago," says Penny McGregor, former President of the May Court Club. "It was a wonderful evening, and so we thought we'd love to do it again. We have so many other women out there that are so deserving."

"We know there are so many others, we had quite a few nominations last time and it was a really tough choice to pick the five finalists," says McGregor. "We've expanded it to six this time, we know there are many women out in Chatham-Kent that would love to be nominated."

McGregor says nominations forms can be found on their website.

"January 8th is the deadline, so get Christmas over with, get the approval of the nominee, and send it in to us. There are six different categories this year."

Categories include Arts and Culture, Business and Professions, Community and Volunteerism, Education and Training, Health, Science and Technology, and Young Woman of Excellence.

Nominations forms can be found HERE. The awards will be presented on May 24th at Maple City Country Club.
