A local business is trying to help families come together for the holidays.
People coming from out of town to visit loved ones at the hospital from December 24 to December 26 can spend the night close to the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance.
The Chatham Comfort Inn on Richmond St. is running its "Room at the Inn" program. The initiative gives people a complimentary stay at one of the hotel's suites.
"Being away from home during the Christmas season may not be a choice," said General Manager Sheila Bateman in a media release. "We offer these accommodations to help bring families together during the holidays. It can be a difficult time when a family member is ill. Getting a good night's sleep is most helpful for patients' families."
