A Chatham man has found out the hard way that you can't fool the OPP anymore by driving with a suspended licence.
Provincial police say the 29-year-old was caught December 21 by an officer who was operating a new Automatic Licence Plate Recognition vehicle, which detects licence plates in poor standing.
The special police vehicle alerted the officer about the invalid plate on Communication Rd. and the vehicle was stopped.
The driver is charged with driving while under suspension and driving without a valid plate.
