The Howard Mutual Foundation recently gave Chatham-Kent Hospice Foundation a $7,500 grant.
The money will support the hospice's kitchen program.
The program is run mainly by volunteers and provides free homemade meals for the residents along with soups, baked goods and snacks for hospice family members and guests.
“We are very grateful to the Howard Mutual Foundation for their gift. The Hospice Kitchen is not only a place where loved ones can enjoy the taste and smell of comfort food, but it is a place where families often connect with other families going through the same journey,” says Jodi Maroney, Executive Director of the Chatham-Kent Hospice Foundation.
The Chatham-Kent Hospice is a 10-bed residential facility that offers care for residents facing end of life and support for their loved ones.
