Chatham-Kent fire officials say the damages are estimated at $100,000 after an empty home went up in flames near Thamesville early Wednesday morning.
Fire crews from Thamesville were called to an address on Florence Rd. near Fairfield Line at around 4:45am Wednesday.
Initial reports indicate a residence there was already going up in flames by the time firefighters arrived.
