Two Stunt Drivers In Hwy. 401 Construction Zone

Two people are facing stunt driving charges after a pair of vehicles were spotted speeding in a construction zone on Hwy. 401 near Ridgetown.

Both of the drivers were pulled over in the eastbound lanes of the highway near Scane Rd. at around 8:30pm Tuesday.

Officers say the posted speed limit there is 80 km/h right now, but a 46-year-old Brantford woman was allegedly going more than 140 km/h and a 23-year-old man from Ann Arbor, Michigan was reportedly driving faster than 150 km/h.

Police say both of the drivers' licences have been suspended and both of their vehicles have been taken away for seven days.
