The list of candidates running for Chatham-Kent council in the upcoming municipal election is gradually growing.
Six people filed their nomination papers this week -- five for council positions and one for a trustee position. Residents have until July 27, 2018 to throw their hat into the ring.
Below is a list of people running for council. The names in bold are those who filed their papers this week to run in the race for Chatham-Kent council.

For the second week in a row, nomination papers were not filed for the position of mayor of Chatham-Kent. Councillor Darrin Canniff and local advocate Alysson Storey filed their papers during the first week, while Mayor Randy Hope says he'll wait until after the provincial election to mark his name.
