Man Found In Ex-Girlfriend's Parents' Attic
A 22-year-old Chatham man is facing charges after his ex-girlfriend's dad allegedly found him hiding in the attic of her family's home.
Police say that was on Wednesday, June 20.
Officers say once the man was discovered, he was "escorted out of the home."
After he left, though, the homeowner reportedly realized that an undisclosed amount of cash was missing from the residence.
A 22-year-old man turned himself in at police headquarters on Monday in connection with the investigation.
He's now charged with break and enter and theft and has been held in custody pending a bail hearing.

Crashes Cause Thousands Of Dollars In Damage
A 57-year-old Thamesville man is charged with careless driving in connection with a Monday morning crash on St. Clair St.
Police say two vehicles were involved in the collision at Regency Dr. and Pioneer Line at around 11:30am Monday.
No injuries were reported and the damages were estimated at $6,000.
Chatham-Kent police say a separate crash on Base Line near Kent Bridge Rd. Monday night is still under investigation.
That crash also involved two vehicles, but the damages in that case are estimated at $25,000.
Minor injuries were reported there.

Tools Stolen During Break-Ins
Chatham-Kent police are trying to track down some tools that were stolen during two different incidents between Sunday morning and Monday afternoon.
Officers say sometime overnight Sunday or Monday morning, someone broke into a barn on McKinlay Rd. and made off with around $1,000 worth of tools.
Police say in a separate incident, someone broke into a garage on Park St. in Chatham sometime during the day Monday and stole some power tools with a combined estimated value of $2,000.
Anyone with information on either of these break-ins is asked to contact police or Crime Stoppers.

Two Arrests On Outstanding Warrants
Chatham-Kent police say they can cross a pair of names off of their wanted list after making two separate arrests Monday night.
Police say they arrested an 18-year-old Walpole Island woman who was wanted for assault and failing to attend court. She has been held in custody pending a bail hearing.
A 34-year-old Chatham man was also arrested on an outstanding warrant. He was wanted for breach of probation and failing to attend a fingerprinting appointment.
