WallyFest Looking For Vendors

Organizers of WallyFest are looking to lock down vendors for this year's event.

WallyFest 2018 will be held outdoors on Saturday, July 21 from 9am to 1pm on James St. and Nelson St. in Wallaceburg.

"The Wallaceburg & District Chamber of Commerce is putting on this event. What we do is we ask vendors to come in for the day and they sell whatever their business is. A lot of it is independents or businesses that are small or work out of their home, that type of thing," says Jill Misselbrook, membership coordinator and office manager for the Wallaceburg & District Chamber of Commerce.

Misselbrook says last year, WallyFest had about 35 vendors and she's hoping to get at least that number this year.

She says it's a very family-friendly festival.

"There are inflatables for the children. Also, it's attached to a farmers' market -- we work with the BIA as well. There are activities for the kids to do," says Misselbrook. "Some vendors are making hot dogs, hamburgers, and food... it's four hours for families just to have fun and just relax."

To sign up to be a vendor, businesses can do one of the following: 1) Visit the Wallaceburg & District Chamber of Commerce's website and apply online 2) Email Jill at jill.wchamber@gmail.com 3) Come into the Wallaceburg office at 152 Duncan St. and fill out an application

Misselbrook says if you're a chamber member, it only costs $35 to be a vendor. If you're a non-member, it costs $45.
