Environment Canada has ended a severe thunderstorm watch for Windsor-Essex and Chatham-Kent.
The weather agency issued a special weather statement for the region late Monday evening for all of the southwestern Ontario region advising of significant rainfall through the day on Tuesday.
Torrential downpours of 20 mm to 40 mm of rain were forecasted to occur within a short period of time.
A severe thunderstorm watch was also issued but it was rescinded just after 7pm.
