Bicycle thief arrested

Police were called to a Chatham residence Monday evening to investigate a stolen bicycle. Police identified and arrested a suspect that evening. The 28-year-old Chatham man was charged with theft under $5,000 and released pending a future court date. The bicycle was returned to its owner.

Man charged for breaking curfew

At 3am, Chatham-Kent police observed a 35-year-old Leamington man walking in Chatham. First arrested for breaking curfew, he was also charged with two counts of drug possession and is being held in custody.

Woman wanted in Windsor found in Chatham

Chatham police discovered a Windsor woman walking on Thames St. in Chatham early Tuesday morning. Investigation revealed the woman was wanted by Windsor police. The 40-year-old was arrested and transported back to Windsor.

Traffic stop results in impaired driving charges

Chatham-Kent police stopped a driver on Queen St., September 2 around 5:15pm. Officers determined the driver was under the influence of alcohol and brought for further tests. The 65-year-old Chatham man was charged with operating a motor vehicle with more than 80 milligrams of alcohol in his blood, and with driving while impaired.
