A severe thunderstorm watch is no longer in effect for southwestern Ontario.
Environment Canada had issued the alert for Windsor-Essex, Chatham-Kent, and Sarnia-Lambton Monday afternoon and into the evening hours.
Conditions were favourable for dangerous thunderstorms that could produce damaging wind gusts and torrential rain.
The weather agency had advised people in the area to be on the lookout for adverse weather conditions and to take necessary safety precautions.
