Missed court date leads to arrest

A 67-year-old Chatham man first arrested in May of this year has been arrested again.

In May he was charged with uttering threats and ordered to not communicate with a neighbour. He was given a future court date.

In August, the man failed to attend one of his court dates and a new warrant was issued for his arrest.

Yesterday, police discovered he had been communicating with the original victim and was arrested again.

He is now charged with uttering threats, failing to attend court and breaching conditions. He was released from custody with a future court date.
