The Canadian Cancer Society's Flavours and Favours online auction in Chatham-Kent raised $4,400 over the weekend for Childhood Cancer Research.
It was the first time the local cancer society offered the event online and Community Fundraising Specialist Darcy Derbecker said organizers had some "wonderful feedback" on the format.
Derbecker said they are also thanking everyone who participated, along with the local businesses who donated to the auction to make it possible.
She said they consider the auction to have been a great success and they're looking forward to holding another auction online in the future.
