Alleged Shoplifter in Chatham caught
A Blenheim woman is facing charges after she was allegedly caught leaving a store without paying for items.
Police were called to Walmart in Chatham around 5 p.m. Thursday after a woman put $289 worth of jewellery in her purse, then left without paying for it.
A 39-year-old is charged with theft, and possession of stolen property. She was released with a future court date.

Pickup truck stolen in Dresden
A 2005 Chevrolet Crew Cab was taken from a business on Camden St. in Dresden.
The theft happened sometime between 5 p.m. on December 12 and 8 a.m. on December 14. The truck was last seen with the Ontario license plate 3308FH.

Chatham-Kent police received a call from an observant citizen about two suspicious men in the area of Library Lane in Chatham early Friday morning.
When officers arrived, the pair fled from a business in different directions.

RIDE checks continue across Chatham-Kent
230 vehicles were stopped in checked at RIDE spot checks in Chatham and Louisville on Thursday night.
No one was driving while impaired by alcohol or drugs, but seven motorists were charged under the Highway Traffic Act, including one charge under the new Cannabis Act.
