Police were called to the scene at around 12:45 a.m. on Thursday after a tractor-trailer caught fire near the 95-kilometre mark.
Officers closed the highway for several hours for an "extensive clean up" and to remove the vehicle's load of produce.
No injuries were reported.
Hospitals in southwestern Ontario are feeling the effects of underfunding, according to a new report by the CCPA.
Fortunately, no children were on board the bus, but the drivers of both vehicles were taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The man was charged in March with sexual assault offences.
