Suspended driver nabbed for several offences
A 36-year-old woman will have to find another way to get around after police pulled her over and then took her vehicle off of the road in Wallaceburg Monday afternoon.
Police said an officer on general patrol stopped the woman in a Dodge Durango that was spotted heading west on Baseline Road after learning that the licence plates that were attached to the vehicle were not only expired, they didn't match up with the vehicle's description, either.
The woman was also allegedly suspended from driving due to unpaid fines, didn't have an insurance card, and failed to notify the proper authorities about a name change.
Police said the vehicle's licence plates were seized and the vehicle was towed from the scene.
The driver is scheduled to attend the Provincial Offences Court to answer to multiple charges in connection with the investigation.
