DNA leads OPP to theft suspect in Lakeshore

DNA has led to a Windsor man's arrest after he allegedly stole an automated teller machine (ATM) and four vehicles in Lakeshore.

The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) in Lakeshore said it happened at a business on County Road 42 just east of Comber Sideroad on December 12.

"Two of the vehicles were recovered close by and the others were recovered in the City of Windsor within a few days of the incident," the OPP said in a news release Wednesday afternoon.

Scott Kimball, 38, of Windsor, is charged with break and enter, four counts of theft of a motor vehicle, and two counts of possession of property obtained by crime.

Kimball was also charged in January with at least one of the break-and-enters at the Habitat for Humanity Re-Store near Devonshire Mall in September.

None of the allegations have been proven in court.
