A 22-year-old man of no fixed address is facing three charges after a Monday afternoon stabbing in Chatham.
Chatham-Kent police said he is charged with aggravated assault, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, and failing to comply with his probation order, in connection with a hostile altercation on Raleigh Street.
Investigators said the man allegedly pulled out a knife and stabbed a 44-year-old man multiple times. The victim was taken to the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance where he was treated for non-life threatening injuries and later released.
A suspect was located by police shortly after the incident and was arrested.Police said the victim and the man who allegedly stabbed him know each other, adding their names are not being released.
The accused is being held in custody pending a bail hearing.
