Collison in Chatham

A man riding an e-bike suffered minor injuries after a collision with a car in Chatham.

It happened around 5:30 p.m. on Saturday at the intersection of Victoria Avenue and Selkirk Street.

The driver of the e-bike, a 71-year-old Chatham man, was transported to the hospital with minor injuries.

The woman driving the car was charged with making an unsafe turn. Total damage is estimated at around $7,000.

Window smashing leads to arrest

A man has been charged after allegedly causing some early morning mischief.

According to police, they got a complaint Saturday morning about someone smashing car windows on Wellington Street in Chatham.

Officers were able to identify the suspect. A 49-year-old Chatham man was arrested and charged with mischief under $5,000. He was held in police custody for a bail hearing.
