Alleged drunk driver arrested in Chatham

A 38-year-old Chatham man has been charged with impaired driving.

Officers were notified about a possible drunk driver on Tuesday night, just before midnight. After finding the vehicle, officers suspected that the man had been driving under the influence of alcohol. As a result, he was arrested and taken to police headquarters for a breath test.

The 38-year-old has since been charged and now has a future court date set for August 28.

Pick-up truck reported stolen

Police are trying to track down a blue 2017 Dodge Ram pick-up truck that has been reported stolen in Chatham.

Officers said the truck was in a parking lot on Richmond Street when it was stolen, sometime between 3 p.m. and 6 p.m. Tuesday afternoon. The truck was last seen with Ontario license plates AW81327 and has several decals, including a "beautiful N crazy" sticker.

Enforcement blitz leads to charges

Three drivers have been charged with speeding in Chatham.

Officers conducted traffic enforcement Tuesday afternoon on Bloomfield Road.
