Police renew appeal for tips about missing woman

Chatham-Kent police are issuing another call to the public to help them track down a local 70-year-old woman who was first reported missing last week.

Investigators said Catherine Boyle was last seen at her home on Meadowvale Line in Chatham Township at around 6:30 a.m. on Wednesday, September 11, 2019.

Police and family members continue to be concerned for her safety and well-being.

Boyle is described as 5'2" tall, weighing approximately 150 pounds with curly brown and grey hair. Officers believe she may be wearing white shoes and carrying a large grey purse. They also believe she may be driving a white 2005 Ford Explorer Trac with Ontario license plates AZ61358.

The truck has a four-foot box and a black hard tonneau cover with a blue Detroit Lions logo in the back window. You can find a picture of a similar vehicle below.

The Chatham-Kent Police Command Post has been set up on Highway 40, north of Meadowvale Line. Officers are conducting a grid search and the drone has been deployed to assist with the search.

Anyone with information regarding her whereabouts is asked to contact Constable Rob Bowles at robbo@chatham-kent.ca or 519-436-6655. Anonymous callers may call Crime Stoppers at 1-8000-222-TIPS (8477) and may be eligible for a cash reward.
