A 33-year-old Tilbury woman is facing fraud-related charges after a pharmacist's suspicion about some prescriptions panned out.
Chatham-Kent police said the woman allegedly attended two different pharmacies in Tilbury last month with some fraudulent prescriptions that had been stolen from a dental health centre.
Officers said one of the pharmacists suspected something was amiss, so they made "further inquiries" at which point, the woman allegedly identified herself as the dentist who prescribed the medication.
Police said they were able to identify a suspect in connection with the case and arrested her earlier this week. The accused was charged with fraud-related offences, personation, and three counts of drug possession.
She was later released with conditions and a future court date.
