Chatham-Kent police are investigating a fatal crash just west of Chatham that claimed the life of a 75-year-old Raleigh Township woman.
Officers said emergency crews were called to the scene on Riverview Line between Bloomfield Road and Dillon Road just after 6 p.m. Monday.
Investigators said it's believed the woman was driving west on Riverview Line when her vehicle left the road and hit a tree. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
The CKPS traffic unit has taken over the investigation and anyone with information is asked to contact Constable Randy Whittaker at randyw@chatham-kent.ca or 519-355-1092.
