Charge laid after crash in Chatham

A 19-year-old Ridgetown man is charged with making an unsafe turn in connection with a two-vehicle crash in Chatham Wednesday night.

Officers said they were called to the scene at around 10 p.m. on St. Clair Street.

The damages are estimated at $10,000, but no injuries were reported.

Blue Camaro reported stolen

Chatham-Kent police are appealing to the public for tips as they try to track down a blue convertible Camaro that was reported stolen from a residence on Harvey Street in Chatham.

Police said it's believed it was stolen sometime on Wednesday this week and it was last seen with the Ontario license plates CEKY 069.

Suspects leave break-in scene in stolen vehicle

Police are investigating after someone broke into a home on Kent Bridge Road in Chatham Township and took off with some electronics, hockey cards, and jewellery.

Officers said two men forced their way into the building Wednesday afternoon -- causing $100 in damage -- and took off in a stolen grey Pontiac Vibe vehicle when a family member showed up at the home.

The vehicle was last seen with Ontario license plates ARJF 907.
