CK police trying to track down speeding silver vehicle

Chatham-Kent police are on the lookout for a silver Ford vehicle that was spotted speeding through Chatham Thursday night.

Police said an officer on general patrol saw it in the area of Grand Avenue near Prince Albert Road and attempted to pull it over, but instead of stopping, the driver took off.

Investigators said the vehicle is believed to be a silver Ford Taurus or Ford Fusion, adding that it didn't have proper licence plates attached to it.

The vehicle was last seen heading north on Prince Albert Road.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Constable Jason Herder at jasonh@chatham-kent.ca or 519-436-6600 ext. 87234. Anonymous callers can also call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477) and may be eligible for a cash reward.
