United Way seeking final-day donations to meet goal

The United Way of Chatham-Kent is close to meeting its 2019 campaign goal and is asking for a little more help to get there.

United Way CK said on Friday that it is only a few percentage points away from meeting the $1.5 million goal, with just two weeks to go before the January 15 deadline.

“We are still working hard along with our campaign chairs Advanced Realty and we have not given up hope that we can meet our goal again this year. We are encouraging anyone who has not yet donated to please do so,” said Director of Donor Engagement and Communications Tom Slager in a news release.

Any funds raised during the campaign are reinvested back into the community to support beneficial programs throughout the municipality. It is also invested in research to better address critical issues that take patience and compassion to solve.

The United Way of Chatham-Kent was able to reach its campaign goal in 2018, and the funds raised were able to help more than 44,500 lives.

Anyone looking to contribute to the United Way of Chatham Campaign can make a confidential, secure online donation by clicking here or by calling 519-354-0430.
