Erie Shores Healthcare opens up the phone lines for COVID-19 questions

Erie Shores Healthcare in Leamington is set to answer questions from the public about the hundreds of procedure and surgery postponements, and the COVID-19 pandemic.

The phone number will be staffed during the week from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. If they do not pick up, leave a message, and someone will get back to you.

The Erie Shores Healthcare Patient Service Line is 519-326-2373 ext. 4481.

Erie Shores Healthcare and Windsor Regional Hospital have postponed or cancelled hundreds of procedures and surgeries to make room for an anticipated increase in COVID-19 patients.

The hospital is also reminding people not to come to the emergency department if you are otherwise healthy, experiencing no symptoms, but want to be tested for COVID-19.

If you are unsure if you have contracted the virus, call your primary care provider, a medical clinic, or the Windsor Essex County Health Unit at 519-258-2146 ext. 1420.
