Seven cases of COVID-19 in Grey Bruce

The Grey Bruce Public Health Unit reports one new confirmed case of COVID-19 in the area in the past 24 hours in Grey Bruce.

The 20-year-old woman is self-isolating, and the case is said to be travel related. The Grey Bruce Health Unit does not provide further details about local cases of COVID-19.

There are now a total of seven confirmed cases to date in the two counties.

One of those people recovered.

There are no COVID-19 cases reported in Long-Term Care facilities or among Health Care Providers.

There have been 23 negative test results received in the past 24 hours, for a total of 214 negative test results to date.

It takes four to five days on average for results to be received from the lab.

The health unit has now prepared social media, print, radio, and multi-media under three headings addressing prevention, containment, and physical distancing, shared with county partner

Guideline resources are available for Women’s Shelters and for Tradespeople or Services Entering Private Residences.

The GBHU Infectious Disease (ID) Team continues to respond to COVID19 related calls.
