UPDATE: Grey-Bruce Health Unit reports presumptive COVID-19 case

The Grey Bruce Health Unit has reported a presumptive case of COVID-19.

The latest case was reported Sunday evening and brings the total to 10 confirmed or presumptive cases, including previous presumptive positive results pending in past 24 hours in Grey Bruce. That includes a female in her 70s with evidence of community transmission, and a male in his 40s with evidence of travel-related transmission.

One of the confirmed cases has recovered.

There are zero cases related to COVID-19 reported in Long-Term Care facilities in Grey-Bruce. There are also no cases reported by health care providers.

Another 25 negative test results were received, including 12 over the past 24 hours. It is taking an average of four to five days to get results. There have been 305 negative test results to date, and clients are being actively advised of their status.

Also over the weekend, a Personal Protective Equipment shipment donation was received from Bruce Power and will go to support the need in Long Term Care facilities, EMS, Fire and Police services.
