Two more CK residents test positive for COVID-19

Two additional confirmed cases of the novel coronavirus are being reported in Chatham-Kent.

The latest cases involve a 45-year-old man and a 43-year-old woman.

At the request of CK Public Health officials, the pair were already isolating at their home before the test results were obtained.

Anyone who has had close contact with these individuals has been contacted by public health officials and have begun their two-week isolation.

“There should be no more guesswork when it comes to what is expected of residents," said Chatham-Kent Medical Officer of Health Dr. David Colby. "The fate of our community, especially our most vulnerable citizens is quite literally in our hands. What you choose to do, or choose not to do matters greatly. Make the right choices.”

There are now eight total confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Chatham-Kent, including one that has recently been resolved.
