Local health officials asking for public PPE donations

The South Bruce Grey Health Centre (SBGHC) is asking the public to donate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

In a release, they say their supplies right now are adequate, but healthcare workers would like to be prepared for a future increase in COVID-19 patients.

They are looking for masks, gowns, gloves, goggles, and face shields.

Items can be dropped off at the Receiving Entrance at the Walkerton hospital between 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Monday to Friday.

The hospital will continue to utilize their current supply of PPE as long as possible, and handmade items will only be used if it becomes necessary.
