UPDATE: Weapons call in Wallaceburg leads to three arrests

Chatham-Kent police are providing more details about some arrests that were first reported by OPP earlier this week.

Provincial police in Lambton County said they arrested two people and turned them over to police in Chatham-Kent following a single-vehicle crash in St. Clair Township Wednesday morning.

Now, Chatham-Kent police have disclosed that those two suspects were wanted in connection with a weapons-related call from a home on Duke Street in Wallaceburg.

Officers said they were called to the home Wednesday morning, adding that the suspects took off before police arrived at the scene.

They were later arrested following a crash on Bentpath Line and handed over to CK police for investigative purposes.

Two men from Sarnia and one man from Petrolia are now facing weapons-related charges in connection with the case. They were all later released with a future court date.

No injuries were reported as a result of the incident and police said they do not believe that the incident was a random act of violence.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Constable Josh Corbin at joshuac@chatham-kent.ca or 519-436-6600 ext. 87200. Anonymous callers can also call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477) and may be eligible for a cash reward.
