Traffic stop leads to drug charges

An officer responded to a call of a traffic complaint on Communication Road, in Blenheim on Saturday. Once the vehicle was located, the officer initiated a traffic stop.

Through an investigation, police arrested a 29-year-old Blenheim woman who was in possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking.  She was later released with a future court date to answer to the charge.

Impaired Blenheim man disturbs peace

Police were dispatched to an address on McNaughton Avenue, in Wallaceburg on Saturday afternoon in response to a disturbance call.

Upon arrival, officers saw a 30-year-old man, running into traffic, that seemed impaired by suspected drug usage.  The man was arrested for his own safety, and was taken to the Chatham-Kent Police Service headquarters as the man's family members were unwilling to take him into custody and care of him in his condition.

Domestic dispute leads to arrest                                                                             

Officers were called to a domestic dispute on Talbot Trail, in Blenheim. Following an investigation, police discovered that a 33-year-old man had broken his probation conditions, and was not to be in the presence of the 30-year-old female involved in the incident.

The man was arrested for breaching his probation order as well as mischief to property.
