Wellington Dufferin Guelph Public Health has updated the number of positive COVID 19 cases to 127, with the majority of those cases in people over 60.
There were 12 new cases in the past 24 hours. A total of 21 people have recovered, and one person succumbed to the virus. Nine people are in the hospital with five patients in the ICU.
There are now 20 cases in Wellington County.
Wellington is seeing an average of two residents with the virus per a population of 10,000 compared to a rate of 4.1 including Dufferin and Guelph.
The number of confirmed cases is only part of the picture and people are told to assume they could get COVID-19 in the community.
