Keep ON Trucking initiative returns with free coffee for truckers

As thanks for keeping the supply chain going, ONroute Service Centres are offering free coffee to truck drivers again.

Every Wednesday until May 13, truckers can present their trucking license or association membership and get a free medium coffee or beverage free of charge.

ONroute launched the initiative for one day last Wednesday and CEO Melanie Teed-Murch said it decided to keep the display of appreciation going.

"Truck drivers are playing a critical role as an essential service during COVID-19 and making significant sacrifices to support our supply chain, and we're extremely grateful," she said. "The uptake from the trucking industry on our free coffee last week was phenomenal, and we have decided to continue showing our appreciation."

ONroute operates 23 plazas across Ontario and is currently providing all-hours access to fuel, washrooms, truck parking, and food and beverages via take-out, drive-through, and grab-and-go options.

The rest stops are along highways 401 and 400.
