Bluewater Summer Playhouse cancels summer season due to COVID-19

The Bluewater Summer Playhouse has made the difficult decision to cancel its 2020 summer season due to concerns over the COVID-19 crisis.

The organizing committee made it public on Monday that the season would not be able to go forward based on recommendations from local government officials and public health authorities.

The Bluewater Summer Playhouse group said it is aware that the priority right now has to be the health and safety of staff, artists, volunteers and patrons. The group also stated its focus remains on supporting local businesses, restaurants and front line workers during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Group officials said they are hopeful they can return next year and run their programs normally.

For more information about the group, visit www.bluewatersummerplayhouse.com or visit the Bluewater Summer Playhouse Facebook page for more details on the Drama Camp, 4 Packs and more.
