The Medical Officer of Health for the Grey Bruce Health Unit is calling staff of Nursing Homes, Homes for the Aged, and Retirement Homes genuinely heroic.
Dr. Ian Arra says he is grateful for the work they are doing.
He is calling it an amazing accomplishment to take care of the generation that has helped build this county.
However, he also recognizes the significant sacrifice they are making by working in the Nursing Homes, Homes for the Aged, and Retirement Homes sector.
He adds without the front line staff, the entire system would suffer, but more importantly, older adults would suffer.
