Tilbury man connected to a pair of thefts from Shoppers Drug Mart
A 38-year-old Tilbury man has been arrested after allegedly stealing from a local pharmacy twice in the same day.
Police said their investigation started with a shoplifting complaint Tuesday night at Shoppers Drug Mart on St. Clair Street in Chatham.
The suspect allegedly took off before police arrived, but someone who was in the area at the time was able to point officers in the right direction and they were able to catch up with the man on Sheldon Avenue.
Police said when they were searching the man, they found a government-issued letter in his possession that didn't belong to him. Further investigation also showed that the man had stolen items from Shoppers Drug Mart twice during that same day.
The accused was charged with two counts of theft along with one count of mail theft and one count of possession of stolen property.
He was taken into custody and was set to be held there pending a bail hearing.

Kingsville man under house arrest picked up in Shrewsbury
A 23-year-old Kingsville man who was supposed to be staying at home is in more trouble with police after an officer spotted him about an hour's drive away from there Tuesday morning.
Chatham-Kent police said an officer on general patrol saw the man in the driveway of a residence in Shrewsbury at around 9:30 a.m. Tuesday.
The officer stopped and confirmed that the man did not have his surety with him, so he was arrested and charged with failing to comply with his release conditions.
The accused was later released with conditions and a future court date.

Man banned from Walmart resists arrest at the store
A call about two suspicious men at Walmart in Wallaceburg Tuesday night ended with an arrest.
Police said while they were investigating, they learned that one of the men was banned from the store, so he was arrested -- but not without a struggle.
Officers said the man was charged with failing to comply and resisting arrest. He was later released from custody pending a future court date.

Two wanted men, one wanted woman arrested
A 34-year-old Chatham man, a 38-year-old Chatham man, and a 31-year-old Wallaceburg woman who all made their way onto the CKPS wanted list have been arrested.
Police said they picked up the 34-year-old man in the area of Dufferin Avenue and Duluth Street Tuesday night. He was wanted for failing to attend court and was taken into custody pending a bail hearing.
The 38-year-old Chatham man was arrested early Wednesday morning on Princess Street. He was wanted for breaching his probation and was later released with a future court date.
And the 31-year-old woman was arrested at a residence in Wallaceburg after paramedics got a call for medical assistance.
While police were at the scene, they found a woman who was wanted for failing to attend court and for her fingerprints. She was taken into custody and later released with a future court date.
