NGL Supply helps The Hub during pandemic

Sarnia-Lambton's youth safe space, The Hub, is getting a boost thanks to a $5,000 donation from NGL Supply.

Rebound said the facility located at St. Luke's Church at the corner of Indian Road South and Wellington Street, has seen an increase in demand during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Since March 17, the centre has provided 65 youth, aged 16 to 24, with care packages, hygiene items, emergency food supplies, virtual mental wellness check-ins and referrals to community resources.

NGL COO David Palmer said they're happy to help.

"Sarnia Police Services was very helpful in pointing out agencies to NGL that may be experiencing more pressing needs during the COVID-19 response." said Palmer. "We were happy to hear about the amazing work that Rebound/The HUB are doing to support the youth in our community, especially those that may be in a vulnerable situation. Our community has been very generous during these challenging times and we are glad to help an organization who is supporting the community but also feeling some pressure during the COVID-19 pandemic."

Sarnia-Lambton Rebound Executive Director Carrie McEachran thanked NGL Supply for its generous support.

"We are so grateful for the incredible generosity of businesses like NGL who are not only working hard to provide essentials to our health care partners, but are also committed to the health and wellness of our youth."

NGL supplies natural gas liquids across North America.

The Hub opened in February 2017.
