COVID-19 cases inch higher as more recover in Sarnia-Lambton

Lambton Public Health reported two more confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the community Saturday night, for a total of 167.

The total number of deaths remains unchanged at 14.

The health unit says 77 people have recovered from the deadly virus, that's up from 73 reported late Friday night.

To date, Lambton Public Health has received results from 1,496 COVID-19 tests, 89 per cent of which came back negative.

Bluewater Health reported Sunday morning that there's currently 10 patients in hospital confirmed to have the virus, and 11 with tests pending.

There are currently two outbreaks at seniors facilities, Sarnia's Landmark Village and Vision Nursing Home.

A recent outbreak at Petrolia's Meadowview Villa, where one staff member tested positive, was declared over on Thursday, April 23.
