Thousands of PPE pieces given to services in Grey and Bruce

The Grey Bruce Health Unit has distributed more than 100,000 pieces of personal protective equipment to facilities and services in need.

Medical Officer of Health Dr. Ian Arra said it's not in the health units mandate but they took up the challenge regardless.

The PPE supplies were donated by Bruce Power and Chapman's Ice Cream and distributed over the last 30 days.

The health unit's Incident Management System team used the vaccine distribution system to get the supplies delivered.

Arra thanked Sara Ellis for leading the IMS Logistics Team that includes Alen Hawes, Cathy Cole, Georgia Stanley, Miguelle Mann, and Mike West.

"Very proud of our team, and of each and every one of you," Dr. Arra said.
