Perth County continuing weekly initiatives to help businesses

Perth County's Economic Development & Tourism Department is continuing with its weekly initiatives to help out local businesses during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The latest initiative is a new video series called "How To From Home" collection, which launched May 5th. The series aims to teach viewers new skills, keep people busy and show some behind-the-scenes footage from local businesses.

New episodes featuring a new business will launch every Tuesday on the Perth County Facebook page. The first video is from Stonetown Cheese, where their experts show residents how to make fondue at home.

"Social distancing is essential in lessening the spread of COVID-19, so we knew we would have to find new and creative ways to support our local business community from afar." said Meredith Forget, Manager of Perth County Economic Development & Tourism. "We have been coming up with action plans to pivot and find innovative strategies to encourage supporting our local businesses while maintaining best practices of social distancing."
